Companion: free of charge if a companion is entered on the back of the disability ID card.

Yes. Tickets are valid for a specific day and a chosen time slot. Please arrive at your booked time – there is a 30-minute tolerance for late arrivals.

Time slots manage visitor numbers, minimise queues and ensure a pleasant experience as well as safety standards. You may, however, stay in the park as long as you like beyond your time slot.

Depending on availability, you can enter in the next free time slot. Please ask the staff on site.

Unfortunately, rebookings and cancellations are not possible for technical reasons.

Yes. The Gift Flexticket is the perfect present: adults € 24,90, children € 18,90. It lets you visit the park at any time – without committing to a date or time slot.

No. Vouchers and season passes of the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle are not valid for LUMAGICA.

LUMAGICA Merano is open daily from 19.11.2026 to 10.01.2027, from 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm. The light park is closed on 24.12.2026 (Christmas Eve).

The park closes daily at 9:00 pm. Please allow about 1.5 hours for the trail.

LUMAGICA Merano takes place in the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle (St.-Valentin-Straße 55, I-39012 Merano).

Paid parking is available on site. Please use car parks 2 and 3. All car parks are subject to a fee – you can book the parking ticket (€ 5,00) online together with your LUMAGICA ticket.

To ensure a smooth exit: the parking system recognises your vehicle by its licence plate and opens the barrier automatically.

Yes. There is a dedicated car park P4 for camper vans with plenty of space. Please allow for a short walk of about 5 minutes to the ticket office.

Buses no. 1B (Trauttmansdorff) and no. 4 (Obermais) run every 20 minutes from the city centre and Merano station and stop right at the venue. The nearest railway station is Merano (approx. 5 km away) – by bus it takes around 20 minutes.

The self-guided trail is one-way and approx. 1.3 km long. Depending on how long you linger and take breaks, it takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. There are signposted toilets along the way.

Good footwear is recommended, as there is a difference in altitude of approx. 100 metres.

Yes, the park is accessible with wheelchairs and prams. Even visitors with limited mobility or walking aids can enjoy the gardens.

The light trail has been designed to highlight the beauty of the gardens. For safety reasons (darkness), however, not all paths are accessible during LUMAGICA.

Yes, there is a food & beverage area in the park with drinks and snacks.

Yes. LUMAGICA is an outdoor event and takes place in all weather – including rain. Tickets cannot be refunded due to bad weather. We recommend weatherproof clothing and sturdy footwear.

No. Dogs and other pets are not permitted – to protect the delicate plants and because some plants are poisonous to animals.

Yes, absolutely! Share your impressions on social media with #lumagica and #lumagicameran. Drone footage is not possible, as there is no flight permit.

No, the Touriseum is closed during LUMAGICA.
