This year's theme, "Around the World in 80 Days," takes you on an extraordinary journey alongside Phileas Fogg and his loyal French valet, Jean Passepartout. Together, you'll travel through enchanting illuminated landscapes across the world's continents, discovering distant countries, fascinating cultures, and iconic landmarks.
Starting in November, more than 750,000 LED lights, glowing sculptures, interactive attractions, and immersive themed worlds transform the SHOWPALAST Eventpark into a dazzling wonderland. Explore illuminated landscapes inspired by continents around the world and create unforgettable memories with the whole family.

On Thursdays your visit to LUMAGICA Munich becomes especially attractive: enjoy reduced admission prices and spend a cosy winter evening among sparkling lights. Savour a hot mulled wine while the children play to their heart’s content.

The SHOWPALAST Munich is easy to reach by public transport. Take the U6 underground line to the Fröttmaning stop. From there it is just a few minutes on foot.
Book a train ticket nowThe SHOWPALAST Munich is easy to reach via the A9, Fröttmaning-Süd exit (AS 73). There are 275 on-site parking spaces (subject to a fee) directly at the venue. In addition, the P+R Fröttmaning car park offers further parking just a few metres away.

LUMAGICA Munich is a sparkling fantasy world that tells visual stories with playful light sculptures. Every year the light world delights with a new motto and takes its visitors into a unique themed world full of magical moments. A perfect experience for young and old, as well as for anyone looking for the perfect photo spot.

Depending on how long you stay and how many breaks you take, the trail lasts about 1.5 – 2 hours.
Yes, you can get both food and drinks on site.
Yes, parking is available for a fee directly at the SHOWPALAST Eventpark.
Admission always starts at 16:30.
Thursday & Sunday: closing at 20:00, last admission at 18:30.
All other days: closing at 20:30, last admission at 19:30.
Exceptions: from 27.12. to 30.12. and from 01.01. to 09.01. we close at 20:30 on every day (last admission 19:30). On 31.12. the short hours apply (20:00 and 18:30 respectively).

We recommend buying tickets in the Coupona webshop. Remaining tickets are available at the box office.
There will be a box office on site. However, tickets may already be sold out when you arrive at the event. We therefore strongly recommend booking your tickets in advance to secure your admission. You can buy tickets directly in the webshop.
Yes, the tickets are not personalised and can be redeemed by anyone.
No, that is not necessary – you can simply show us the QR code on your phone.
Tickets are available for download immediately after payment and are additionally sent by email. Should there still be any problems, please contact Support.
Services provided in connection with leisure activities are excluded from the right of return. However, you have the option to take out cancellation insurance after payment.
Yes, you are welcome to make a group booking. From 10 tickets you automatically receive a 10% discount in the webshop.
You are welcome to take photos and share them. Feel free to tag us, too. When taking photos, however, please make sure not to disturb other guests.
Please arrive at the time stated on your ticket. Early or late admission cannot be guaranteed.
Yes, dogs are allowed.
Yes, the venue is easily accessible for people with reduced mobility.
No large luggage or bulky items are permitted. Also prohibited are, among other things, weapons, gas spray cans, pyrotechnics, food and drinks brought from outside, flags and banners.
Yes. Companions of people holding a severe disability pass with the registered mark "B" receive free admission. The severe disability pass must be presented on entry.
Smoking and vaping is permitted outside the buildings.
Yes, the experience is designed to be barrier-free and accessible for deaf as well as visually impaired people.
It is a walking tour, but if you need a short break, you will find some seating where you can rest.
The venue has toilets — please ask our team on site for directions.
We recommend asking the event staff whether your belongings have been found.
All age groups are warmly welcome at this experience. The premises are also accessible with prams/buggies.
The LUMAGICA light park takes place in any weather – including rain. Unfortunately, a refund due to bad weather is not possible as long as there is no acute danger to visitors.
Along the trail (after about 2/3 of the route) there is a catering offer. In the event of any allergies or intolerances, we kindly ask you to inform yourself on site with the respective provider. For medically required special dietary needs, such as coeliac disease, you are of course welcome to bring your own food.
Strobe effects are used at this event. Certain flash frequencies may trigger epileptic seizures under some circumstances. People with epilepsy or at risk of epilepsy should keep away from the strobe-lit area.
